The Company started in 1962 with founder John Everitt selling scrap metal off the back of his Dodge truck.
Since then a company was formed and the word "Enterprise" added to his last name thanks to John's son Leon who joined the company in 1966 at age 16. Everitt Enterprises has always been family run and operated growing from strength to strength.
In the scrap boom of 2006-07 the business bought various equipment to move the operation forward. The company has been busier than ever, handling some 7000 tons of ferrous scrap and enough non-ferrous to make any scrap dealer jealous. Sean and Richard Everitt now manage the company with Leon backing them up.
Everitt Enterprises today operates two metal processing and recycling plants located in Dunedin and Oamaru. Our committed and customer focused team continuously strives to achieve safety and environmental standards to comply and exceed regulatory and community requirements.
